High School Rec Basketball (Girls)

Team up with your friends for competitive non-varsity basketball! You will form your own squad, challenge neighboring schools and compete in an end-of-season tournament.

LEAGUE PLAY AND SCHEDULE

Teams practice once each week beginning December 7. Sunday games are played at MHS beginning January 10, followed by an end of the season tournament March 6/7. All games will have professional referees. All players will receive a reversible jersey. Girls rec teams will compete against Minnetonka, Wayzata, Edina and Eden Prairie rec teams, with all games taking place in Minnetonka. League may be split into multiple divisions pending number of teams.

TEAM FORMATION

Players form their own teams of 8+ participants. Teams must have a minimum of 8 players on a team. Players do not need to be from the same grade level. Please indicate your other team members on your registration. Players without a team may register as a free agent and will be placed on a team that does not have a full roster. 

COACHES

All teams require a volunteer coach who can attend all practices and games. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate your desire on your son or daughter’s registration. Team rosters and practice times will be sent out on December 4th. Game schedules will be available by December 22nd. A coaches meeting will take place on Thursday, December 3rd.

IMPORTANT DATES

• Registration Deadline: November 23 ($30 late fee will be assessed after deadlines)
  
• Practices Begin: the week of December 7, at various locations
  
• Regular Season Games start January 10
