Enhance your skills in a fun and competitive environment in this dynamic basketball training program. Class focus includes ball-handling, shooting, passing and defensive techniques. This 3-on-3 basketball league offers supplemental skill development through individual training and competitive 3-on-3 games. 3-on-3 basketball provides more action and repetitions for each player while building important basketball skills. Typical evenings will consist of 60 minutes of skill development and 60 minutes of gameplay. The first session will involve evaluations through skills competitions to create balanced teams, which may be adjusted throughout the program. Each player will receive the ongoing results of their evaluation. A tournament will be held during the final session if there are enough participants. Design, print and power your own creations! Use Tinkercad to create a 3D-model of robot parts and learn basic DC circuits to bring your robots to life. By the end of the week, you will have built two working robots—a sketchbot and a drive bot—while developing creativity, problem-solving and engineering skills using a laptop and mouse.

Design, print and test your own vehicles using 3D printing and Tinkercad. Build a self-powered car and a DC motor–powered car while exploring motion, energy and design principles. Test, refine, and race your creations as you turn ideas into real, working machines!

Grab your board and start shredding! Learn new tricks, build confidence and sharpen your skills with experienced instructors who keep skateboarding safe, creative and fun while you test your balance, focus and determination. Participants are grouped in ability levels and age groups to accommodate all ability levels. Small group instruction, relay races, and other games are used to make sure participants are improving and comfortable on their board. If you do not have your own equipment, skateboards, safety equipment, and other supplies are available for no additional cost. All participants must have a signed waiver on file. This course will spend at least half of the class time outside daily (weather permitting) in our Outdoor Learning Center (OLC) and exploring the wooded area behind MCEC.
