Grief Recovery

Jo Ann has spent a lifetime learning to understand the human conditions of joy, forgiveness, grief, and loss. She is here to work with you through whatever life path you’re on and with whatever life is throwing at you. With her many years of experience, she is fairly convinced our challenges all stem from grief and loss - whether real or perceived.

Jo Ann is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist with The Grief Recovery Institute and a Certified Holistic Coach with GAHP (Global Association of Holistic Psychotherapists and Coaches). She trained as a Co-Active Transformational Life Coach with CTI (Coaches Training Institute) and is a Certified Reiki Master Teacher, Practitioner, Spiritual Teacher and Guide. Jo Ann has also worked supporting moms and families as a Birth Doula in this sacred passage of new life.

In earlier professional careers, Jo Ann worked in Strategic Development and HR Management, Training, and Project Management for several Fortune 500 Companies. She was also a schoolteacher.

Jo Ann received an MS in Science and Technology Studies (with a concentration on its intersection with Human Values) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and an MA-T (Teaching) from Bethel University.

When the above isn’t keeping her busy, you’ll find her hiking in the woods and along Minnesota’s many lake shores, writing musings and poetry, reading, or cooking up a storm with whichever combo of kids are home for the day, evening, or holiday.
