Middle School Spanish Prep

Spanish Language Exploration
This once-a-week class allows your little one to develop language experience in Spanish! Language is learned naturally through games, crafts, music and more. Children must be toilet-trained to enroll. For Ages 3-5 This unique, once-a-week class provides students with language experience in Spanish. Learning Spanish is fun and happens naturally through games, movement, crafts, music and stories. This class is an excellent precursor to Minnetonka Kindergarten Immersion and is also a great addition to your child’s Minnetonka Preschool and/or Junior Explorers schedule. Payment plans are available. Curriculum will be the same for Thursday and Friday classes. We recommend signing up for one section (ex. Thursday PM only). Children must be toilet trained to enroll in Language Exploration. This class is offered through Minnetonka Community Ed Youth Programs. Please email anna.oasheim@minnetonkaschools.org with questions. ***The Minnetonka Community Education Refund Policy states: Refunds, less a $10 cancellation fee, will be given when a registration is withdrawn at least 5 business days before the start date of the class. Partial refunds will be considered if injury or serious illness occurs. No refund will be issued once a class has started. -
Summer Language Immersion: Camp Tonka
Join us for a week of language immersion! Practice Spanish or Chinese while participating in games, crafts, STEM activities and cultural lessons that focus on the week's theme. Please bring a water bottle, nut free snack and wear recess attire. Language experience not required. Preschool Safari Adventure Week: Immerse your young learner in the Spanish or Chinese language and culture as they prepare for kindergarten. It will be a roaring good time! Students will learn through activities/games, arts/crafts, songs music and cultural elements. The Great Outdoors Week: We can’t wait to spend a week with you learning Spanish or Chinese in and about the Great Outdoors. Get your hiking shoes ready for this in-tents adventure. Around the World Week: Get ready to discover new songs, create your own instruments, and learn about music from Spanish or Chinese speaking countries. Practice simple conversations about greetings, colors, weather, clothing, emotions and seasonal activities while discovering celebrations like Día de los Muertos and La Navidad. A fun, hands-on class that builds confidence speaking Spanish—no experience needed.
