Discover large floral installation design in this hands-on 2-day workshop, exploring mechanics, techniques and creative principles using fresh florals, foliage and upcycled art by Minnetonka Preschool students. Students will work with the instructor to build the floral installation. The installation will remain at MCEC through the weekend. Students are then invited to come to MCEC on the afternoon of Saturday, April 25 to remove the installation and take flowers home.

Feel free to bring your own Fairy Garden adornments. Students will make one arrangement.

Paint your very own Bob Ross replica landscape. The relaxed and calm atmosphere will allow you to enjoy the step-by-step presentation to help you create your own masterpiece. Students will paint "Rolling Hills". All equipment and materials will be provided. Bring an apron or smock if you wish. Children 12 years and older are welcome to enroll in this course with an enrolled adult.

Drawing from observation is an important skill for any artist to possess, whether you are creating images from life or imagination. Learn through quick studies, exercises and examples that focus on proportions and perspective. This course offers a structured introduction to the skills of drawing using a range of methods that encourage you to look at things selectively, giving you the tools to record your observations. Students are asked to provide their supplies. A supply list will be given out on the first day of class.

Create a unique wool “painting” using needle felting techniques. Use colorful roving as your “paint” to craft an image on felt, displayed in a small embroidery hoop for hanging. All materials are included.
