Women's Hiking Group
Get out in the fresh air as you hike beautiful local, unpaved trails all around the Southwest Metro.
A few of the regional parks and trails utilized will be: Gale Woods Farms, Carver Park Reserve and Wolsfeld Woods Scientific Natural Area.
The first two hikes in June will start at 9:30am.
Appropriate footwear and attire are an absolute must for the hikes. We step over trees and cross muddy rivers, the trails are root-filled and rocky. We won't be on asphalt, so bring footwear with traction. We will go at a moderate pace, 2.5-3 miles an hour for 60 minutes depending upon the trail, conditions and number of stops to take in the view or check out a wildflower. Participants must be able to stand on one foot unsupported for 10 seconds and walk at a brisk pace for 45 minutes.
