Reach new heights every other Thursday as you master bouldering basics and enjoy an active community of climbers. Tonka Climbing Club will meet every other Thursday from 4-6 PM at either Big Island Bouldering: 161 Cheshire Ln # 500, Plymouth, MN 55441 or the Minneapolis Bouldering Project: 1433 West River Rd N, Minneapolis, MN 55411 Participants will be responsible for the $15 admission fee into the Climbing Gym each trip. Participants must provide their own transportation. A waiver will be needed before entry to Big Island Bouldering and Minneapolis Bouldering Project. They also do not accept cash. Tonka Dance Academy - Advanced Ballet/TapTonka Dance AcademyExperience our new advanced classes as you gain coordination and rhythm through tap dance and learn classical ballet while working toward a recital on December 19. Continue your dance education and elevate your craft in our Advanced Classes. Designed for dancers with a minimum of 2 sessions of experience in our dance program (or equivalent), this class will progress your technique by learning more advanced steps and improving in flexibility, strength, and precision. Enhance your creativity, and boost your mental wellbeing while building lasting friendships with fellow dancers ready to take the next step and continue your joy of dance! We use a Broadway style of tap while incorporating modern techniques as well. Learn tap sounds from popular musicals as well as a cappella steps. Have a hoot hoofing it! Study ballet based on the Vaganova method of ballet instruction. Your technique will soar and you will develop grace and strength as your body learns the art of classical ballet.
