Grades K–2 are co-ed, while grades 3–5 and 6–8 are divided into separate boys and girls divisions. Team Formation: Players will be placed on teams based on school, teammate request and coach availability. Players may request to be on a team with one other player. Requests will be taken into consideration, provided the friend you request also requests you. Friend requests are considered but not guaranteed. Players will have teams shared with them before the start of the season. Each player will receive a reversible Vikings team Jersey and NFL Flag Belt. Volleyball skills are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving. Sessions will include short court and 2 vs 2 court games. No experience or equipment is necessary. This program is instructed by Stephen McCarthy of the McCarthy Project. Since 2001, Stephen has researched and developed innovative training, skill development and techniques specific to sport and is USAV and BCAP certified coach.

Led by the MHS Varsity Volleyball coaching staff and players, these sessions are geared for girls and boys preparing for high school volleyball at MHS. Coaches focus on teaching advanced game situations, skills and techniques. Please bring a water bottle and wear a shirt long enough to tuck in. Each participant will receive a summer camp t-shirt.

For players with limited or no volleyball experience, learn the fundamentals using age-appropriate nets and volleyballs. Led by MHS head coach Karl Katzenberger and staff, with current MHS players assisting. The camp will include two main components - skill instruction and game simulation.
