Archery improves concentration, physical fitness and is a lot of fun! Learn technique, rules, scoring, history, etiquette and equipment care. For beginners only. Coached by NASP-certified instructors. All equipment provided. Prerequisite: Intro to Archery (Level 1). Beginner Archery will introduce specialized learning for each archer and they will learn to hit their target. This class will cover safety, rules, techniques and prepare them for the Intermediate Archery Class. This course uses curriculum from the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) in collaboration with the Minnesota DNR. Participants will learn the fundamentals of archery in a safe, disciplined training program with an emphasis on safety.

Learn the sport of fencing with Minnesota Sword Play. Learn basic skills of fencing from guarding, basic blocks and attacks. All equipment and gear will be provided. Students will participate in a tournament on the last day and compete for a prize. Students must show up on time for the last day to compete.

Learn new skills and basic techniques and train to compete! Emphasis on blade work, footwork and balance. Each camp culminates with a small tournament and a prize for the winner!

This beginner saxophone camp introduces the fundamentals: breath support, tone production, scales and articulation, all designed to prepare you for band. Participants will need to bring in their own saxophone.

Ooey-gooey mud, paint splatters and splashes and so much more in this exciting art camp. Roll up your sleeves and get ready for tons of silly, messy fun! Major focus will be on identification of bicycle parts, trailside repair, shifting adjustments, brake adjustments, chain maintenance, how to repair/replace a tire tube and how to safely check your bike. We will also learn basic wheel truing and replacing a chain and brake and shifting cables. Bring a bike, and we will tune it up!

Learn essential bike maintenance skills, including basic bike setup, trailside repairs, shifting and brake adjustments, re-cabling, tube replacement and helpful tips and tricks. You’ll also learn how to prepare a bike for sale. You may bring a different bike each day to work on or bring the same bike back—many common issues can be addressed in this class! Please note that parts for major repairs may incur an additional fee, or we can assist you in sourcing new parts if needed.

Create a petite floral arrangement using fresh blooms, then explore still life painting using your arrangement as the subject. All supplies are provided—just bring your creativity, curiosity, and artistic spirit. Class registration closes 72 hours before the start time. Refunds will not be processed after this time. Get certified and learn to safely operate boats and personal watercraft. Instruction emphasizes navigation, laws, ethics, personal safety and the proper use of boats and other watercraft. Through successful completion of the course including the test, participants will receive their Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Youth Operator Permit. Students will paint "Rolling Hills". All equipment and materials will be provided. Bring an apron or smock if you wish.
