Boulder Pointe Equestrian - 3 Day Horse CampOutdoor RecreationExperience a mini-week long horse camp. Life in the barn will include daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for the horses and feeding. Spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Please note that riding takes about 1 hour per day in an arena, no trails and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. Parent Drop-off is at 9am and Parent pickup is 3pm. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn. ● No flip flops. ● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray ● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch ● Treats for the horses if you want ● Helmets are provided. Other activities may include making horse treats, doing crafts, and playing games. You’ll also learn how to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age. Ideal for both new and experienced riders! Parent drop-off is at 9:00 AM, with pick-up at 3:00 PM. You’ll experience daily riding, learn how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for the horses (including bathing) and care for them at the end of the day. Spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. At the end of the week, parents and family are invited to a performance to see what their camper has been learning! Please note that riding takes up about 1 hour per day in an arena, no trails and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. Drop-off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm each day Monday through Friday. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. However there is a “show” for the parents Fridays of week-long camps at 1:30pm! This is a great time to take pictures, watch your child ride and meet their horse they worked during the week. Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness - 2026Outdoor RecreationJoin us on an incredible six-day canoe adventure in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Experience the beauty of the outdoors, develop leadership skills, challenge yourself and have the experience of a lifetime! Our trip will run from July 7-12 and is open to anyone completing Grades 7-11 in the 2025-26 School Year. Guides are Minnetonka teachers experienced in wilderness camping. Full outfitting is included. When you sign up, under the notes section of your registration you may indicate one friend you want to be in your group. When we set up groups, we will do our best to keep you with your friend and keep friend groups together. If that is not possible, we will call you. Refunds for cancellation after May 1 (less $100) will be granted only if we can fill the spot with another student. Collaborate, innovate, and tackle real-world challenges while exploring science, technology, and engineering through rotating modules that build creativity and essential 21st-century skills. Where BIG IDEAS become the next BIG THING. In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, minnetonkaschools Community Education is pleased to offer the nationally-acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering grades one through six. Here is how young innovators will be spending their time: SPARK: June 22-June 26, minnetonkaschools Middle School West, $325 per student Explore a variety of real-world concepts: in Fur-ensics, become detectives investigating critter crimes using forensic science and robotics; in Make Waves, dive into entrepreneurship and ocean science by conducting buoyancy experiments and designing floating billboard boats; in Space Morphers, embark on a planetary mission to terraform a new world while building rockets and studying Earth systems; and in The Infringers, create inventions to solve community challenges, learn about intellectual property, and design wearable tech using cryptography. ELEVATE: August 10-August 14, minnetonkaschools Middle School West, $325 per student Imaginations soar as you learn about flight with the help of your very own flight simulation robot. Discover ways to protect Earth’s ecosystems, sketch and build prototypes while protecting their intellectual property and design the ultimate sports complex with inspiration from the real-world inventors behind their favorite sports! In both programs participants will tackle challenges from famous inventors and take apart broken or unused appliances using real tools to develop something new. Students will be broken up into groups based on grade level. Local educators will facilitate program modules and enthusiastic high school students will serve as Leadership Interns ensuring that one staff member is in place for every eight children. Leaders-in-Training (LITs) are at the center of fun challenges and creative STEM learning at Camp Invention!
